Writing

Words & Works-in-Progress

I’ve written a book!

Can you believe it? Its working title is Key to the Quiet, and it’s still finding its final shape. I’m deep in revisions and learning as I go—one page, one cup of coffee, one tiny breakthrough at a time.

Writing, for me, began much like painting did: as a way to make sense of things too big to say out loud. Both start with noticing—the way light moves across a wall, a memory that won’t let go, a question that lingers. Layer by layer, color or word, something takes form.

I’m a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of the Atlanta Writers Club, and I’m endlessly grateful for the community of writers who remind me that storytelling, like art, is meant to be shared.

Both my brushes and my words are ways of tracing the beauty that remains.

Key to the Quiet is my first novel-in-progress. More soon.
